Over recent years, significant control system advances have made it even easier to become an accomplished pilot. With the increased availability of personal computer based flight simulators, you can practice flying in the comfort of your own home before taking your new plane to the field. However, to minimize risk and avoid adopting bad habits, it is recommended that you become a member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics - the AMA ( www.modelaircraft.org ) and identify an instructor to help you learn the basics of flight.
